This question has been answered before, but the most recent forum post about it is from over 2 years ago. I want to make sure this functionality has not been added since then.

Do channel owners have the ability to modify other member's messages? If that is now the case, is there any record of the change in eDiscovery? I'm hoping not; I don't think I need to describe the HR/Accountability nightmare that would be.

Thank you for your time,

Robert

Can't say I've ever heard of this functionality in Teams and I don't see it anywhere, including Microsoft's documentation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/team-owner-member-and-guest-capabilities-in-teams-d03fdf5...

So unless there's a super secret way around basic Owner permissions - no, they cannot edit someone else's message.
