Hi
Is there any way to force the user to set a pin using android enterprise? Have microsoft rolled out this feature?
Same issue as this post?
I have set the device restriction to require a numeric pin but once the phone is enrolled the user is not forced to set a pin.
Im using
device restriction profile
Android enterprise
Policy is assigned to correct group etc.
The troubleshooter doesn't give me much info.
From the screenshot I have uploaded can you set it to require a pin at that stage?
Any help appreciated thanks

Hi @eglockling
Yes the compliance policy is set. I have set the system security. I have tried both device owner and work profile. Neither force the pin to be set.

@zbr75 I'm having the same problem right now as well, but I think this may be by design for dedicated devices. Only Android Enterprise fully managed devices have the device password enforced by compliance policy during enrollment.
I found this...
"Compliance policies also apply Android Enterprise dedicated devices. If a compliance policy is assigned to a dedicated device, the device may show as Not compliant. Conditional Access and enforcing compliance isn't available on dedicated devices. Be sure to complete any tasks or actions to get dedicated devices compliant with your assigned policies."
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/compliance-policy-create-android-for-work
And this...
"Device Owner devices will not be prompted to set a password. The settings will be enforced and you will need to set the password manually. The policy enforcing this will report as failed until you set the password that meets your requirements."

Thanks for the reply.
It seems strange that it can't be forced for the user to set a PIN
