Microsoft Forms - Editing of associated Excel sheet

Hi,

 

I have a form I use to track reports of defects. The excel sheet containing the responses is live and so updates as and when new responses are submitted. To track my actions to reports I have used a colour coding system i.e. defect raised for fix, duplicate etc etc.

 

Historically when I made a change to the linked form the responses could not sync and I had to create a new sheet (this is when I came up with the colour coding system) my question is whether I can amend text in the excel sheet, specifically spelling mistakes, without the the sync failing again

    chwar750  in my company we never edit the associated spreadsheet but always save each form  response into a SharePoint list via a flow in Power Automate. We find this a more robust approach and  gives us a backup of responses in case of any problem with the form.
