How do I send an automated response on Microsoft Forms for an long answer- open text question.

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I've tried using Power Automate to do automatic responses to a Microsoft Form but the issue I'm running into is that the form only has one question which is an open end response (users can just type in their response), so I've found the branching isn't working as it's not a Yes No question.

Is there any way around this?

@Shanycetm what was the problem with using a flow in Power Automate? Nothing you have said will be any problem for sending an automated response.

@Rob_Elliott Hi Rob. I've attached a screenshot of my issue.

The problem I've had is that I'm not sure as the form question I'm looking to have an automated response for isn't a Yes or No question and therefore the condition isn't working. I'm not entirely sure.

@Shanycetm why do you have a condition in your flow, what's it looking for?

Hi Rob,

Found the issue with another member of our team, the form is anonymous and doesn't collect email responses, thats why the flow wasn't working even when removing the condition.

Best,
