Forms Quiz and collecting names outside my organisation
01Suki you can only get the names of who has responded for people in your organisation. Forms knows who they are but has no way of knowing who external people are. So you do need to ask them for their name or email address in one of the questions.
The file upload facility is only available to people in the organisation. For security reasons, that is to prevent malicious/malware documents being uploaded, Microsoft have not implemented the upload functionality for people outside the organisation.

I created a survey for people within my organization and the names/emails of respondents was pulling in fine. I then changed it to allowing people outside of my organization to submit, but noticed that I am no longer getting the names/emails or respondents. Any way to go back and get this information?- RobElliottJan 24, 2022Silver Contributor
sakindele no because you've changed the form to an anonymous form so it's stripped out the name and email data that was there. I would have created a copy of the form, and in the copy changed the settings to anyone can respond and sent out the link to that form to people outside the organisation, but left the original form as it was for internal people to complete.
