Excel 365 - Can't save file when adding graph

Scenario: excel file stored on sharepoint using office 365

When I open the file with excel 2016 and add a graph, as soon as I do that it breaks the file and I can't save it anymore. This happens on all excel files.

I get the error message saying: Errors where detected while saving "file name". Microsoft Excel may be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features. To make the repairs in a new file, click Continue. To cancel saving the file, click Cancel.

Next step: I can add graph in excel online. I can than open the file with excel 2016 but again I can't save it unless I remove the graph.

I'm running version 16.0.8431.2046 64bit, my os version is Windows 10 Pro, build 15063.608

Note: this issue doesn't occur when I'm using Office for Mac.
