Can GoDaddy branded MS365 be used to sign in to Windows 10?
Why doesn't Windows 10 recognize my GoDaddy branded MS365 Professional Business account email address to Sign-In with my Microsoft Account?
Details:
I have a GoDaddy branded Microsoft 365 Business Professional Account. To use desktop Outlook, OneDrive and Edge, in my Windows 10 systems, I use my GoDaddy credentials to log in to each of these apps. All fine so far.
However, I also have a genuine Microsoft 365 account for many years that I used when I first installed/upgraded Windows 10 on multiple computers. This genuine MS 365 account has a different email address and password than my GoDaddy branded MS365 account.
I thought it would be a good idea to change all my Windows 10 Microsoft Accounts in Windows 10 to my GoDaddy branded MS365 account, so that there weren't multiple Microsoft Accounts on each Win10 system. In Win10, I went into Settings>Accounts>Your Info and first changed to a Local Account. This stopped the constant MS messages asking me to sign into my Edge, OneDrive, & Outlook using my genuine MS365 account credentials.
But when I try to use my GoDaddy MS365 credentials to log into Windows 10, after I choose, "Sign in with a Microsoft Account Instead, [of Local Account]" and I type in my GoDaddy account email, I get, "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one."
What's up with that?
