I am very new to using Excel and I am trying to find out if there is any way to use excel for lot traceability.
I need to be able to use a barcode scanner to scan a barcode and pull the data off the barcode (lot/serial numbers, expiry dates and maybe even supplier Info). I am not sure if this is possible but any and all help would be greatly apricated.

My sense is that scanning a barcode into Excel is the easy part. A quick Google search would cause one to think that.
The bigger issue is the whole process design...spreadsheet design being part of that, but possibly a small part.
I think if I were in your shoes, I'd be starting with a vendor of barcode scanning devices. They may well have a solution waiting for you.
