Rounding Up to next ...

Good day

Thank you for taking the time to assist, if possible.

I work for a mnf company and we see based on square meter supplied, but we also round up to next .25.

For eg - 0.240 would become 0.250 and 1.032 would become 1.050

I have tried to use the MROUND function but it seems to round to nearest and not the next .02 up.

Is there a function or formula i can use to make this work?

Thank you.

John

If you want to round up to the nearest multiple of 0.25, shouldn't 1.032 become 1.25?

Apart from that: the CEILING function (or in recent versions of Excel CEILING.MATH) will do what you want:

    =CEILING(A1,0.25)

      Thank you.
      The ceiling.math function works.

      I mistyped above ... 0.25 should rather say next multiple of 25 ie 00, 25, 50, or 75

but it seems to work the way you recommended .. thank you very much 🙂
