"Fixed Objects will move" error
Occasionally I get this error and I can't get out of it.
Sometimes I get the error and after a few clicks on 'OK' it will disappear.
Other times it persists and I have to shut down my laptop and reboot.
I have 3 workbooks open and even though the error appears on only one the other two won't work either.
Maybe other users are having this issue.
I am on the app view, not the web view.
I encountered this error when I tried to filter a row in a tab. After clicking on OK multiple times, the error "Fixed Objects will move" got disappeared. And, the filtered row/s was/were shown along with some of the bottommost unfilled-rows. As captured in the attached pic, when I filtered for row 100, Excel displayed row 100 and rows 1048555 to 1048576. Showing 1 millionth rows was unwanted,
I resolved it by copy and pasting the actual content (row 100 and column P) from the problematic tab to a new tab. Deleted the problematic tab at the end.
I had this same issue with an old Excel file (.XLS). To fix it I opened the Start Menu, then typed 'Run' to start the Run command and used 'Excel /safe' to open Excel in Safe Mode, then opened the old Excel file that was repeatedly giving me the "Fixed objects will move" error. I then saved the file as .XLSX and it has been fine since then.

NikolinoDE Thanks for your response. The problem is that sometimes when I get this error there is no way to get out of it. Excel is not responding when I hit the ok button on the error message. The error locks the excel workbook and I have to reboot. I think it is a bug in the code that Microsoft need to fix.
Next time I get the error, and assuming after I press ok I don't have to reboot, I will try your suggestions.
