    I89011 Your question makes me believe you intend to sum values but the pivot table defaults to do a count in stead. If so, that's because the part of the date you intend to sum actually consists of texts. Can you share some data? A link to the file on Onedrive, for instance. Or a similar file sharing site.

      I changed the values to numbers but still, I'm not getting the sum. Instead, I get a notification saying "You can't make changes to a pivot table".

        I can change from "Count" to "Sum". However all results are 0.

        That is because D4:D7 is text and not number. Check with ISTEXT() or ISNUMBER().

        The reason is the cells contain a dollar sign and several blanks. Remove them.
