Need help with IF THIS, THEN THAT with condition

New Contributor

Hi all,
I'm a rather basic user and have tried to find answers online for a couple of hours but can't wrap my head around what I'm finding. Therefore, I kindly ask for your help with a specific thing I'd like to do.

* If value in column A is DK, then the neighboring cell in column B shall turn red, if it is 1005 days or more after the date in the same cell.

* If value in column A is SE, then the neighboring cell in column B shall turn red, if it is 275 days or more after the date in the same cell.

(Dates are written as Year-Month-Day)

I hope I make sense. All the best.

Use conditional formatting to highlight information

You can apply conditional formatting to a range of cells (either a selection or a named range), an Excel table, and in Excel for Windows, even a PivotTable report.

Sample file with date values inserted.

Hope I could help you with these information / links.

Hello and thank you Nikolino!

I do know about conditional formatting but not clever enough to have the conditional formatting being dependent on the value of another cell.

I will look deeper into what you linked! Thank you again!
