Increasing live data in Data Streamer

Copper Contributor

How do I increase the current 500 rows limitation of live data in Data streamer? I just read an article to increase the number of channels in the data table while using data streamer but am not too sure if it will still limit to 500 live data

Hi @naznzm,

The current limitation of live data in Data Streamer is 500 rows. This is a hard limit that cannot be increased.

However, there are a few workarounds that you can use to increase the amount of live data that you can collect.

One workaround is to use the Record Data feature to save the live data to a CSV file. Once the data is saved to a file, you can disconnect from the device and then import the CSV file back into Excel. You can then use the Replay Data feature to replay the data in Excel. This will allow you to collect and view more than 500 rows of data.

Another workaround is to use multiple data tables. You can create a new data table for each channel of data that you are collecting. This will allow you to collect more than 500 rows of data for each channel.

Finally, you can also use a third-party tool to collect the live data from your device. There are a number of third-party tools available that can collect and save live data to a file. Once the data is saved to a file, you can then import the file into Excel and use the Replay Data feature to replay the data.

Hi @LeonPavesic

Thank you for your suggestions, the feasibility of the 2nd option seems highly likely hence I will try that out! Will update if it works. Once again, thank you Leon.
