In excel add ribbon back to tool bar

Not very knowledgeable - in past opening excel doc had a tool bar on top and just under that was a "RIBBON" that showed what cell you were in and you could make corrections - that ribbon vanished and I don't know how to get it back - HELP, PLEASE.  RON

That is the Formula Bar. To display it, activate the View tab of the ribbon, and in the Show group, tick the check box Formula Bar.

Alternatively, select File > Options.

Select Advanced in the navigation pane.

Scroll down to the Display section.

Tick the check box Show formula bar.

Click OK.
