In excel add ribbon back to tool bar
Not very knowledgeable - in past opening excel doc had a tool bar on top and just under that was a "RIBBON" that showed what cell you were in and you could make corrections - that ribbon vanished and...
That is the Formula Bar. To display it, activate the View tab of the ribbon, and in the Show group, tick the check box Formula Bar.
Alternatively, select File > Options.
Select Advanced in the navigation pane.
Scroll down to the Display section.
Tick the check box Show formula bar.
Click OK.
