How to map a radius on a geographical map returning results

example. i am trying to plot points on a map by zipcode. and then i want it to return results based on a radius around that zone. 

example;

dataset  46802 46803 46804 46805 46806 46807 46808 46809 46814 46815 46816 46818 46819 46825 46835  46750

if i picked one of those say 46825. and wanted to map those. how would i let it return results and for matches within 3 miles of the selected zipcode?
