How to create two groups of columns next to each other
i am trying to create two groups of columns that are next to each other. for example, create a group of columns b-e and f-h, but they just keep merging into each other. how do i keep these as two seperate groups?

- How about creating separate two tables side by side if you don't mind having column headers. Table is always easy to work with? Never mind if you have different purpose.
You'll have to insert an empty column in between the groups - in column F in your example.
You can then group columns B:E and columns G:I.
And make the inserted column F narrower (but not too narrow - the +/- button would be hidden).
I've struggled with the same problem , and chose this solution, then came here and confirmed I have done something that was recommended by a MVP :)
