Extract percentage from two columns
Hi everyone!
I want to get data from two columns in my workbook.
I have one column of vendors and one column stating if they met their requirements or not (yes or no).
What I want is a formula that first looks up say Vendor1 (not any of the other vendors) and then looks in the second column for the number of times they met their requirements (yes or no) and delivers that as a percentage. So if Vendor1 is in my vendor list two times and met their requirements both times the percentage delivered back to me should be 100%, for example.
I've looked around but can't find a good answer on how to do this. Any tips?

- mymostCopper ContributorThat works splendidly, but I forgot to mention that I'm trying to use it regarding data in a pivot table, and then that formula does not work. Help?!
- LorenzoSilver ContributorPlease:
- Post a picture of your Pivot Table
- Do your run Excel on Windows or Mac?
- If on Windows, is Power Pivot Data Model involved?
