Hi expert team,
Everyday, i used passwords to protect my excel files before sending them to my clients.
When i have to choose the password, there is always a restriction with a minimum of 7 characters to choose with uppercase, lower case, numbers or specific characters.
I would love to be able to choose the password i want without any restrictions.
For example: 123
Do you think is it possible to configure excel and remove this restrictions ?
if it's possible outside excel with a specific software, please tell me ^^
best regards,
Nicolas

What version of Excel are you using?
I just encrypted my file with 123 as the password

As Mr. Wyn Hopkins has already described, this could also be set in the organizational settings or Windows Server settings.
Here is some information from Microsoft, maybe this link will help you.

It would be best if you insert a file (without sensitive data) with this problem, where you could possibly take out a better solution.
Wish you and all others in this Post a nice day / night with lots of health, joy and love.
