Is there a limit to how many characters you can type into the Data validation source box having chosen List?

As Riny mentioned, it is best to enter the address of a range in the Source box.
If you enter the list directly into the Source box, the limit is 255 characters.
DaveM48 Not sure, but if there is one and you would risk exceeding that limit you wouldn't want to type the whole list in the source box. You would type them in a range of cells on an Excel sheet and refer to that range.
