Allowing different users to view their data by entering a password
I have a spreadsheet with a tab for each hub of the business.
Instead of creating 12 spreadsheets and sending out individually, I need to allow access to a file located on the server, when they open the file, they can on a landing page select their hub, and then type in an individual password. This then shows them only their hubs data and not any of the other hubs.
I completed this about 6 years ago, but cannot remember how I managed it.
Help please
Thanks
Keith

I'm not sure about the landing hub but you can protect individual sheets within a workbook and assign a password to each. If you don't know where to do that - you'd go to File>info>protect workbook>protect current sheet. What I do is lock columns that I don't want everyone to view then protect the sheet so that the content doesn't show up if someone random clicks on that sheet/tab. You could label each tab and people would look for theirs and then proceed to unprotect to unhide and view their content?
Apologies for wasting your time if you're aware of this bit, am in a workbook that has protected sheets and came looking for an answer to frozen panes acting strangely, saw your question and thought maybe I could be helpful.
