Commerce Scale unit requirmeent

To add CSU, does a customer need to have 20 base Commerce licenses added, or can they have any other base license for e.g. 20 Finance base and have 1 Commerce attach license and add CSU?

Hi @MLollen

As a friendly reminder, Partners should refer to Product Terms to find license prerequisites & purchasing minimums,

If you are a Microsoft Reseller in CSP, you should work with your Indirect Provider (aka Distributor) who has a direct relationship with Microsoft and can provide you with customer support, pricing, and billing that help to ensure your success.

The link doesn't mention if the 20 minimum requirement is base license or it can be attach as well.

Please carefully review the information provided as the link states that the minimum listed on the table applies to the base SKU:

Also, as a friendly reminder, pg.4 of the current D365 Licensing Guide ("LG") also explains quantities of attach licenses. Please log into Partner Center to find the D365 LG.

The question wasn't how many minimum base licenses customer needs. It was for CSU (commerce scale unit), does the customer have to buy 20 Commerce base license in order to qualify to add CSU units, or the customer that already has 20 Finance, can buy 20 Commerce attach and order CSU.

As mentioned, the D365 LG explains how to purchase attach licenses. Please carefully review this information.

If after reviewing the LG you find that you are still unclear, you should use a support plan for one-on-one assistance Compare Microsoft Partner Support Offerings   or perhaps someone else on this platform may reply to clarify.
