- David_SwensonIron ContributorWindows Information Protection needs a centralized management dashboard in both MEM and Lighthouse. WIP is the unsung hero of Microsoft 365 Endpoint Management BUT it can be a bear to configure. Are there plans to put some love into WIP?
- rejohnsonIron ContributorOn another forum there's been a lot of negative feedback on Microsoft's intention to charge for remote control with MEM, which is understandable since it's included in MECM. We want MORE capability with remote management using MEM, such as the ability to connect without user interaction (e.g., just require local admin rights with MFA), not just parity with MECM. And, we want it included in our Intune licensing.
- David_SwensonIron ContributorAgreed. MSPs will NEVER pay for this service. Remote Help MUST be included with Business Premium, E3, E5, and F1/F3. NO EXCEPTIONS

The remote control functionality in MECM is quite a bit different visa vie being 1) cloud based 2) integrated with RBAC controls 2) tied to AAD and 4) compliance. Similar functionality is available in the market that are provided at an additional fee. We are exploring additional functionality to add over time such as the unattended session as you mentioned. We are launching a series of premium capabilities, starting with remote help, and these will all be bundled in a new cost effective plan. In the meantime, remote help is now available as an add-on to the E3 and E5 licenses. - euburrag

Most problems are actually Microsoft software issues in the first place so you're expecting us to pay extra to resolve those? No thanks.
- WebhallaBrass ContributorSomehow Reloading the questions does not show question nr "1" or "0" as I responded to Alex his solution. To miss Dakeva: further information on what is the best way for mapping local on-premise file shares using azure intune/mem managed devices. When using fully intune/mem managed devices the on-premise domain controller's netlogon share cannot be accessed so running the dinosaurus automation kixtart scripts mapping file shares on erp/logistical/sales and BI servers based on user rights and physical location is not possible. Also, our drive mappings differ based on the physical location of the user. Standard user and departmental file shares will of course move to Office 365 onedrive/sharepoint but what is the best solution to map the, now legacy, but still very essential file shares when the user is on-premise?

Hello! Community manager here 🙂
If you are having trouble reloading the questions and seeing all of them, we are aware of the issue and are working on it, but we have a workaround - go into My Settings on your profile and change the topics per page from 25 to 200.
- NigelIron ContributorIs there a consideration for Intune/MEM to get a construct like GPO link order / precedence? The biggest headache we encounter with our cloud first clients is designing and constantly adapting configuration profiles when a new business requirement comes up (say power setting that is in a base profile assigned to all, but then a group needs a different power setting needed exclusion).
- NigelIron ContributorDo we have any timelines on public preview or GA on Autopatch, or WfuB Driver / firmware?

If you are interested in joining a future preview for Windows Autopatch, let us know here! https://forms.office.com/r/pR8QsHvU0C- NigelIron ContributorPerfect thank you !

Windows Autopatch GA is slated for July 2022. See https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-it-pro-blog/get-current-and-stay-current-with-windows-autopatch/ba-p/3271839 for more details. We don't have any new dates to share for WUfB deployment service support for drivers and firmware.

We're halfway through today's Windows Management AMA. Are you cloud-first, cloud attached, co-managing, or still fully on-premises? What do you need from Windows, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and/or Windows 365 to make cloud-based management work better for your organization?
- SteveB_SCBrass ContributorDipping our toes into co-management but taking longer than I'd like. Influencing change in a large enterprise can be difficult sometimes, but we really just need to take the plunge and cloud attach all our managed workstations.
- KwintenBCopper ContributorIs there an end of life planned for config manager? Will it coexist forever with Intune? Or will configmgr only be available for on prem servers?
- David_SwensonIron ContributorConfigManager needs to be put out to pasture, and ALL development should be ported over to Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Please Microsoft for once make ONE GOOD TOOL vs several half-baked tools so we can do our jobs effectively. Clearly Intune is the future. As Elsa would say: Let it go!
- Chad SimmonsIron ContributorRespectfully David, many, many people disagree with you.

ConfigMgr is the largest deployed management solution in the known universe... is core to our ability to deliver a complete solution... we have no plans to end of life ConfigMgr. We love ConfigMgr. We just increased our development capacity on ConfigMgr. It's nothing but a bright future for ConfigMgr.

Microsoft does not have any plans to end of life Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- David_SwensonIron ContributorAre there any plans to update the Hyper-V Manager app/experience on Windows 11 Pro+? This app has become essential for MSPs testing autopilot deployments for our customers, as well as providing live demos to our customers looking to adopt Microsoft Endpoint Managed devices. Features like native copy/paste, automatic TPM support, updated VM setup wizards to align with Windows 11 Design? This would really help the MS Partner network.

Question for the audience from Windows Autopatch: What are your top pain points with keeping your devices up to date? Please include information about OS version, M365 apps, Teams, Edge as well as your Industry vertical (Health care, automotive, etc.) in your answer. - David_SwensonIron ContributorOften, RMM agents deployed by IT Departments/MSPs cause Windows Update for Business to stop working on its intended cadence, To combat this, we deploy a proactive remediation script to all our managed devices that ensure WUFB is the authority over the RMM. Can we have a native remediation script included in Endpoint Analytics that does this for all users of Microsoft 365?
- David_SwensonIron ContributorI'll share the script! Already gave it to the Microsoft 365 Lighthouse Team.
