- EmilyPerinaI got the error message when trying to load/refresh a PowerBI template on the web: “Failed to update data source credentials: The credentials provided for the Viva Insights source are invalid.” Is there an easy way to fix this?

Hi Emily, this is an issue we frequently observe, but it's easy to fix. Here's what you can do to resolve it:
- In Power BI, open the Transform data menu and select Data source settings.
- Select Global permissions, select
Viva Insights, and then select Clear permissions. - Select Delete.
- Close Power BI and follow the setup instructions for the applicable Power BI template.
- SophieBokWhat are the best practices to integrate 3rd party data, such as Slack and Zoom, with Microsoft 365 data coming out of Viva Advanced Insights data to capture a holistic work pattern within the organization, regardless of the current IT environment with multiple collaboration tools being used for different teams.

Hi Sophie, this is something we are hearing from a lot of Viva Insights customers, and we are looking into ways to bring collaboration data from third party tools into Viva Insights. In the meantime, here are some ideas:
- While we do not currently measure time in Zoom calls, we do measure the time spent in scheduled meetings (using the scheduled start and end times of the meetings).
- You can work with your Zoom admin to create reports on how people use Zoom calls and upload the data as an HR attribute to Viva Insights. That way, you can analyze Zoom data in Viva Insights queries by adding the HR attributes to your query.

The different dashboards, or Power BI templates, available in Advanced insights help you answer the most common questions we've heard from leaders. Each Power BI dashboard tells a story around a top-of-mind area. For example, the Hybrid work dashboard helps you understand how hybrid work affects the experience of onsite, hybrid and remote employees differently.
There are currently 9 Power BI templates in Advanced insights, and you'll finde them in the Analysis page. Each of the templates has a "Learn more" button:
If you click on it, you'll get a flyout that explains what the uses of the templates are:
This information will help you understand which template to set up based on the problem you are trying to solve.
We also have interactive demonstrations of each template in out documentation site. Here is the demonstration for the Ways of working template.
- How can I see Power BI templates from Viva Insights (I saw Ways Of Working Assessment Power BI files) when I gave certification exams of Viva Insights Practitioner, but where can I find it in the Viva Insights Webapp or In the Teams ?

Hi Sonia, Power BI templates are an Advanced insights capability, you can find them in Microsoft Viva Insights (office.com)
- Hi, I want to know how to add Advanced Insights Tab to Viva Insights. I tried multiple ways but still unable to do that.

Hi Sonia, Advanced insights capabilities are only available in the browser, you can't access them in the Viva Insights app in Teams. To access Advanced insights, go to: Microsoft Viva Insights (office.com)

Hi everyone! I'm a Product Manager at Viva Insights, focusing on Advanced insights and Power BI templates. Please, ask any questions you have and I'll try to answer them all.
- HI Lucas, I've been working with Viva Insights and cleared both the certificates too. I'm working on CDX environment. I want to know about advanced insights. The problem is that I can only see personal insights and cannot see Teams and Organization insights in Teams App in my tenant, I can't access the Webapp of Viva Insights- It says OOPS! you've not been assigned role in Viva Insights yet. I have gone through all MS learn documents and assigned roles and licenses required. I made myself as the manager having 10 people reporting me. But still no success. Looking forward for any help from your side. Sonia Vyas

Hi Sonia, you seem to be doing the right things:
- Assign licenses to the population you want to analyze in Advanced insights. Make sure you assign 10 or more licenses.
- Assign the Insights analyst role to the users you want to give access to Advanced insights
- Go to Microsoft Viva Insights (office.com)
If you are still getting the "Oops! You've not been assigned role in Viva Insights yet." there's a chance that your company has implemented PIM and you need to activate the role. Check this article out: Activate a role
