- John_HooverIron ContributorAre there any plans to add a calendar feature to designate specific days for holiday/longer working hours?
- Ian BrucknerIron ContributorEspecially for the org, not just in a single project. And not just in a non-default environment because if you use those, you lose other fx.
- RobynGua
Microsoft
Thanks for the feedback. Specifying holidays and working hours is on our backlog. Can you share more details on how you'd use this in your daily work?
- MACBrass ContributorDoes the roadmap include building functionality allowing access to custom P4TW fields via Tables in Dataverse?
- MACBrass ContributorHoping to get a response to this one please. Please let me know if you need more information and/or if there's a recommended interim workaround for getting custom fields into eg Power BI. Thanks for any insight.
- PietRemenBrass ContributorNo offence but project for the web templates are only useful to organisations if they can make their own. Generic ones are only useful for product demos. Any chance of that becoming available in the future?

Piet - the out of the box Project and Planner templates are in fact used by millions of people in everyday use. They help many people get started quickly and learn project management. it is certainly true that having customizable templates in an enterprise environment is very important. Today, many of our customers successfully create Template plans and projects and use the copy feature for this exact scenario. This being said, we will continue to build on our template infrastructure and expand its capabilities - which will include the ability to create local templates.- John_HooverIron ContributorWhat is the current targeted rollout date for customer local templates aspect of this feature?
- KuchenbaeckerITCopper ContributorHow long will Project Online and Project Subscription Edition remain in support?
- George Bullock

If you are using Project Online we understand the important business value it provides you. You can continue to use your existing Project Online environment confidently while you plan a transition to Project for the web. You can start your move as soon as it makes sense for your business.- KuchenbaeckerITCopper ContributorAnd Project Subscription Edition?
- Brian-SmithBronze ContributorFor the subscription edition see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/project-server-subscription-edition
- KuchenbaeckerITCopper ContributorYes, it is in support, but for how long approximately? 2 years, 5 years, 10 years...?
- Hughes818Iron ContributorProject Trial importing Planner Plans? Why not just replace the Planner app with Project for the Web altogether? This is very confusing and cumbersome for end users. 😞
- atrain204Iron ContributorAgreed
- Ian BrucknerIron ContributorI'm interested in the roadmap for P4W taking on missing fx from Project Online... topics like cross-project / organization-wide resource capacity planning... without sacrificing native functionality that comes with using the default environment.
- Ian BrucknerIron Contributor
Not AMA related... but I'm noticing the timestamps on all these comments are not respecting my TechCommunity preference for my local timezone and it's confusing. Dylan_Snodgrass
- Brian-SmithBronze ContributorUniversal Resource Scheduling is available in the default environment as well as named environments. Just go to https://make.powerapps.com/ and the Apps section and choose Resource Scheduling. There is an overview of using it here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/project-for-the-web/overview-universal-resource-scheduling. I'm not sure about the timezone issue - hopefully Dylan can help there.
- DomlitBrass ContributorVideo is unavailable for me. has it been released yet
- Hughes818Iron ContributorYou might want to start it from Youtube directly.

You should be able to hit play? it is live- DomlitBrass Contributor
- PietRemenBrass ContributorHowdy. Any comment Microsoft on the future of Project Desktop in regards to the gap losing Project Online will create for high-maturity schedulers, specifically, will Project for the Web eventually allow synchronisation with Project Desktop? Understandably not all deep features of Desktop going into P4TW but rolling up/connecting to the mapped elements supported in P4TW would be amazing?
- HowardCrow
Microsoft
How would you like this to work? maybe something like a 'publish' button?- Ian BrucknerIron Contributorprobably hard since not the same fx is possible? But those gaps, too, are why my org is having a hard time "switching"... love that new dependency types got added... but no ability to add lag, for example. It's nifty how it's coming along, but knowing when we can dive in based on what's going to come eventually, and when-ish, would be reallllly helpful.
- DomlitBrass ContributorYes I would also appreciate this and a way to do proper program management in project for the web for those used to PWA. a PBI dashboard doesn't cut it for most of our folks.
- Hughes818Iron Contributor
Other Microsoft AMAs seem to use Teams Meetings or Live Events to run the event. So, this one is using Youtube? Really? A little less user friendly...not sure where the live discussion takes place...unless it's just here via the comments?
- Dylan_SnodgrassSilver ContributorHello Jason, This AMA is a specific experience tied to the Microsoft Tech Community, we utilize YouTube to allow the video experience to surface within the Tech Community in a single space for everyone to discuss their questions. The Q&A portion is held here within the comments section. Let me know if you have any other questions!
- Hughes818Iron ContributorI have to say...this is a very confusing way to run an AMA. There is no live interaction here. I have to refresh my screen if I want to see current items newer than a minute old. I'm receiving an enormous amount of email in my InBox for each reply....and trying to keep track of each discussion thread and what the replies are...Outlooks seems to be the only way to do that which is not easy at all. Microsoft may seriously want to reconsider how they execute these AMAs. Have you tried to attend one of these, Dylan? 🙂
- DanEngelsmeierBrass ContributorI'm hoping for syncing of Loop task lists to Planner. I've seen some people post showing this in place but it does not work for my tenant. Could be Loop Preview related. I'd also love to see sub tasks or dependencies so that task B doesn't start or become active until Task A is complete. We don't need full Project capabilities but I have a small group of users pushing Monday.com and I'm trying to temper that with M365 options to keep us from having data and conversations in yet another platform outside M365.
- David_HopkinsBrass ContributorYes, the Loop task list syncing with Planner is currently in preview so is not available to everyone yet. You can try it out in the Loop app today though by joining the Loop app public preview at loop.microsoft.com. Tasks you assign to others in your organisation will appear in their 'Assigned to me' views in To Do, Planner, and the Tasks app in Teams.
