Event details
AI is rapidly changing how you deliver services, support customers, and operate your business. Join us for September's Microsoft Meetup for MSPs to explore a practical operating model for MSPs navigating the AI era. Learn why secure, well-managed tenants and standardized operating practices are critical prerequisites for introducing AI into service delivery and engineering workflows. See how multi-tenant management tools, supported APIs, monitoring, automation, and generated documentation can help create repeatable and scalable operations across your customer base.
We'll also examine the role of professional services automation as a system of record for requests, approvals, evidence, time tracking, and billing, showing how automation can be connected through governed workflows that improve consistency without sacrificing accountability. Finally, we'll look at where human oversight remains essential, including AI-generated scripts, policy changes, customer communications, and any workflow that impacts access, security, or client data.
Successful AI adoption starts with fundamentals, not prompts. Leave with practical ideas you can implement immediately, including one data-control improvement, one tenant-standardization opportunity, and one workflow you can automate within the next 90 days.

Thanks for participating in this month's meetup! Sharing a recap of the questions answered live, with associated timestamps:
Question – With AI, and all of the required consulting which does need to be somewhat tailored to the customer, to the industry, and yet generic on the MSP side --- are we evolving back to the days of IT consultancy as the primary business model where AI is concerned? Is MSP still a valid moniker for the role we will be playing? Maybe VAR is more accurate because the consulting is the value add and makes it more understood that there needs to be a longer-term engagement to achieve said value? – answered at 34:44.
Question – What’s your experience in vertical specialization? – answered at 39:10.
Question – What about automation gone wrong? What should we keep an eye out for? What have you seen (so we can avoid going down a bad path)? – answered at 41:34.
Question – As an MSP and I’m thinking about my business, how do I think about accountability in a way that impacts my bottom line? – answered at 44:31.
Question – What’s the first line of defense against unsanctioned data use in AI? – answered at 52:10. - sasstuPIOccasional Reader

As an MSP we are having all the same conversations with current and new clients. Security is always first and is more important than ever with AI. Also providing AI security addons to our MSP plans

We will be adding the AI security into our Main plan but not all clients want it. Offering it as addon to current clients as not in the 'one' plan at present
