- Ashka123Brass Contributorin call queue, we can add agents by using groups or channels. what's the difference and benefits
- Yes, you can add a group to a call group: you would use this in a situation like adding a department to a call queue You can also affix a call queue to a Team/Channel. This surfaces the call queue in Teams so you can see the call history, presence of agents, easily call back and visibility for all call agents. Hope that helps, Best, Chris
- Ashka123Brass ContributorMy bad, question is what is the difference adding group vs channel in call queue
- Ashka123Brass Contributordoes caller id policy support direct number
- Caller ID support the subscriber (user) number, service number (I.e. one affixed to call queue or auto attendant) or anonymous Hope that answers your question Best, Chris
- Ashka123Brass Contributorso that means it will not support caller id manipulation for Direct routing number and support for only MS calling plan number
- Stephen RoseSilver ContributorOur session at 9am PST is on Calling. Please ask that question then pls.
- Ashka123Brass ContributorIf i enable forwarding in teams to external number and someone(who is in island mode) call from teams to teams will that transfer to external number.

Microsoft
Yes, it will. (BTW - the voice session is coming up after this one....)
- Ashka123Brass ContributorI have Team admin role however i am not able to see the MBR setting
- nomorephones
Microsoft
Can you say more about the specific setting that you're referring to? I can't think of an MBR other than "Master Boot Record" but I'm pretty confident that's not what you're referring to....- Ashka123Brass ContributorIts media bit rate under meeting policy. I read this in Team ignite challenge document
- Ashka123Brass ContributorWhat is internet breakout. Can you explain
- nomorephones
Microsoft
I don't think that any of our speakers used this term, but generally in Networking this refers to the connectivity between the internal corporate network & the Global internet. Large organizations may have multiple internet breakouts per region allowing for a shortest path between the corporate network & a cloud provider like Microsoft.
- Frédérique HarmszeBrass ContributorVery practical question now: I cannot find the link to open the Teams meeting. YouTube does not have a chat/IM, right?
- You can just post your question here.
- Dylan_SnodgrassSilver ContributorHello, We are engaging with you here within the Microsoft Tech Community! The teams meeting is internal with our team & the product team directly. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask us here!
- Frédérique HarmszeBrass ContributorThank you! I read the line "Submit your questions during this live hour – or submit questions early by posting a Comment below" in the session info. I interpreted this as "Submit your questions during this live hour in the Teams meeting chat/Q&A, for which we will provide a link right before the session (like at Ignite). Or submit questions early by posting a Comment, in this totally separate Comments section below; we will copy this early bird comment into the meeting chat/Q&A." It would be helpful to make the instructions more explicit. Something along the lines of: "Please submit your questions in the Comments section below. You can post a comment before or during the live hour." Maybe even add "We will not use a separate Teams Meeting, but stream the session on this page. The Q&A will take place in the comments section, which will remain available after the event".

Hey Frédérique! There isn't a Teams meeting to join in this Tech Community Live AMA, just leave your questions here and we'll discuss it live!- Frédérique HarmszeBrass ContributorThanks for the quick answer all of you! But maybe a tip for next time, for newbies: tell it also on the page about this event. This works fine, it is just not what I expected 🙂
- jtnguyen328Brass ContributorHow do we secure Shared channels and would this be the ideal solution for collaboration?
- Keep in mind Jerry that files will be stored in SharePoint for shared channels. The files are covered by the usual features that SharePoint offers. This is one of the reasons shared channels, like private channels, use a separate site collection. External sharing capabilities can be turned on and off for specific site collections. Shared channels will fall into that category if your organisation chooses to support them and external sharing. The other aspect of Shared channel security with external guests is that you have to use Azure B2B in place. It's a trust relationship between your organisation and the partnering guest org. It's not open to inviting any external guest.
- Just would like to highlight that B2B collaboration is one thing and B2B direct connect another. The former for Azure AD guest access and the latter used by shared channels (Teams connect). There will be some differences when it comes to the security part but I'm not sure how much we can talk about it so I will leave it to Microsoft when it gets closer to GA as mentioned by John.
- Sivaprakash_saripalliBrass ContributorThanks for asking. This is a great question. There are multiple controls that can be used to manage/secure Shared channels. These include, 1. Control of the external organizations that your organization can collaborate with. 2. Per-User policies to control which users can create and share shared channels. 3. IT admin can view and manage shared channels.
- Adam JacobsCopper ContributorPrior to leveraging Shared Channels an AAD trust needs to be configured. This can be restricted by groups, users etc.
- Petri-XBronze ContributorCurrently when looking for the apps on the Teams, we do have lot of uncertainness when trying to understand where the app store the data (logs, traces, app data, etc..) from our users. What possibilities we do have to secure that our data is not leaking out of our tenant if we choose to enable Teams apps, either made by Microsoft or 3rd party vendors. Do you have any plans to make this verification more simple for us?

- Raphael_KoellnerLearn ExpertThese are great questions for example in combination with data privacy and compliance. I can recommended the Microsoft 365 App Compliance Program: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-app-certification/overview Do you want to see one of these certifactes also for Microsoft Teams Apps? Then you can use this side in the documentation to get the information for Microsoft Teams Apps: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-app-certification/teams/teams-apps and more via the Defender for Cloud Apps. For more information you need to use a 3rd Party Microsoft vendor or ask the developer of the Microsoft Teams App. At least there are some MVP Community Blogs, which has the information in a database. If you want more information in the default list or in another way please use the Feedback-Portal: aka.ms/TeamsFeedback
- jtnguyen328Brass ContributorWill there be an option to disable email notifications for Teams Org-wide?
- Hi JerryZhangMS Nguyen No confirmation on this yet or anything on the roadmap: would look to raise a uservoice on the new feedback portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/ Hope that helps and answers your question Best, Chris
- Hi Jerry. Are you trying to drive adoption of Teams by removing the email notifications? They should only be sent if someone isn't in Teams when the message is sent. They can also adjust their notification settings really easily to their preference.
