- AstevensonCopper ContributorWould copilot be able to build flows within power automate? example" When I receive an email from anyone on this lead list as denoted by their email address in column B, add that lead and the content of their email to spreadsheet XXXX.csv and send a weekly copy of that csv to teammate XXX and myself"
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeCopilot in Power Automate has multiple experiences, with automating and process mining being the core ones at this time. You can use Copilot in Power Automate to describe what you want to automate, and it will build from scratch the automation for you to continue to refine and adjust with the sidebar experience. What you described above is exactly a scenario it would be used for. Here is some resources to help: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/get-started-with-copilot and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/faqs-copilot
- AstevensonCopper ContributorWill I be able to have copilot reference data within my outlook inbox when I am working within an excel list? such as, "highlight in green any leads on this list that have sent me an email within the last 90 days" without me having to run an export from outlook, have that in a separate excel sheet, and running a vlookup against the sender name?
- AstevensonCopper ContributorWill it be possible to have "standing instructions" for use by copilot within excel? example: if I always end up removing certain job titles from a lead list, say any leads in the sales department, would I be able to add some sort of persistent instruction to co-pilot such as "in any new lead list, always highlight in red any contacts that have job titles that denote them as being in the sales department" or how would copilot be used to automate things like that if this is a common repeatable workload?
- AstevensonCopper ContributorWill copilot be able to reference other sheets when I am working within a particular sheet? example: If I have an excel list of target companies for marketing, and I want copilot to easily cross check against a list of current customers that we should exclude from marketing efforts, could it do that in the same way that an excel formula can reference a different sheet either stored locally or within the same sharepoint instance?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey Andrew, thanks for this and the other scenario-based questions you've posed. I think they all make really good use cases for Copilot and the team's are tirelessly working towards adding more skills to Copilot and its capabilities will continue to improve over time. Specifically looking toward the GA, I'd recommend referring to the announcement blog (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2023/09/21/announcing-microsoft-365-copilot-general-availability-and-microsoft-365-chat/) for what Copilot in each app can do. We also have user guide https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/copilot that outline current use cases.

Hello, We are a small org with approx 100 users, of which maybe 5 would want access to copilot. Are we able to just upgrade 5 of our users without upgrading the rest of the team? What is the fastest way for us to get those 5 users onto a test case?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHi Andrew, yes Copilot is licensed per user so there's no requirement to have to provision everyone in your tenant. You would have to ensure those users have the appropriate prerequisite base license (E3/E5/Business Standard/Business Premium). More details on availability will be made as GA approaches.
- AstevensonCopper ContributorHi Gabe, was your comment accurate? It looks like there is an MOQ of 300 users, am I missing something?
- Markku JaatinenBrass ContributorIs there a exact list of data types and sources Semantic Index is using?

We're working to provide additional information as part of documentation that will be released ahead of Nov-1. Data types include (but are not limited to) Word documents, PowerPoint, PDF, Web pages and OneNote content.
- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorWhat Graph endpoints API does [Microsoft 365 Copilot] have access to and/or use? Based on testing, it seems to use “Search” and “Me (profile)”. Are Copilot queries of Graph limited to these endpoints or are there others that are queried as well?
- ecasey7Copper ContributorWhat sources are the generative AI functions pulling from? Can copilot be trained to pull from private, internal visual sources?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey Erin, Microsoft 365 Copilot uses a combination of various GPT models – including GPT 4. Nothing announced on training from private sources or fine-tuning.
- Chris_FerraroIron ContributorIs there a timeline for the Copilot Lab? Is that only wide open or is there a way or something similar to keep it tenant only?
- Markku JaatinenBrass ContributorIt would be also nice to clarify what Copilot Lab is 😁 ...
- Chris_FerraroIron ContributorFrom the 9/21 event Learn to work in a whole new way with Copilot Lab We also announced Copilot Lab to help everyone learn to work iteratively with AI and get the most out of Microsoft 365 Copilot. Just as customers turned to Microsoft in the shift to remote and flexible work, they are relying on us to help people build new work habits for a new AI-powered era of productivity. And we want to help. With Copilot Lab, you can learn to turn a good prompt into a great one, share your favorite prompts with coworkers, and get inspired as we all learn how to work in a whole new way together. Once it’s generally available, Copilot Lab will be integrated into Microsoft 365 Copilot and accessible via a website to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users.
- Dany_TanguayCopper ContributorReindexing: When is reindexing initiated, and how long does it take? Is it every time a feature update is added and/or every time new data is added and/or every time a new user is added?

Documents created by users with the Semantic index for Copilot enabled are indexed in near real-time. New documents that are added to SharePoint Online sites that have access via site inheritance by two or more users are indexed daily. When existing documents that have been indexed by the Semantic Index for Copilot are updated, the changes are immediately indexed.
