- Nancy_SkaggsCopper ContributorCould Copilot Studio be used to create a chatbot that would derive its topics and responses from this list of AMA questions and answers?
- Samer_Baroudi
Microsoft
Hi Nancy! Thanks for your question. Yes! You can absolutely use Copilot Studio to build your own copilot that would reason over specific data in your organization, like a set of questions and answers.

- Nancy_SkaggsCopper ContributorSamer- thanks for the reply but my question was specifically about a chatbot running against THIS actual set of chat questions and answers from this AMA event.
- Chris_SpiveyCopper ContributorWhat is Microsoft's strategy for Web Apps vs. Office 365 App parity? Is it web first, with standard apps following in ## days after? What is the best update channel to use to ensure latest Copilot updates are applied to local Apps?
- Yana Terukhova
Microsoft
It depends on the features, some are shipping first on the web, others on the client. How fast features get shipped from one surface to another depends how fast we get the feature quality production ready. The best way to get the latest fastest is to be on the Current Channel for Mircosoft 365 Apps. If you need to test and check out features even preproduction, our Insiders channels get those even earlier.
- jrwarwickBrass ContributorWhen attaching multiple files and asking Copilot Enterprise to repeat (an action already successfully applied to a single file) across the list of files, it is confused and cannot perform the action at all. Details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/copilot-for-microsoft-365/iterating-over-a-list-of-files-and-applying-similar-actions-to/m-p/4010311 Is there are technique or method to gain iteration-over-list capability? Or is that something that is on the roadmap?

Thank you, Justin. I shared the thread with the Excel team to take a look and respond in the original thread.- jrwarwickBrass ContributorThanks, Yana. I should note though, that in my key (or perhaps initial) scenario, the source of the inquiry was PDF file extraction. It seems like a general Copilot rather than Excel (though that was the eventual destination, in this initial scenario).
- Chuck-NYBrass ContributorCan we teach copilot our initialisms? For example, our org is "NYPA," but we pronounce it as Nigh-pa. Teams usually transcribes it as "Napa." Can we teach the Copilot to write "NYPA" when it hears "Nigh-pa"?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey Charles, appreciate the feedback and I'll take that back to the team. I believe this is probably 2-prong, first the ability for Copilot to recognize organizational terms and acronyms, and the other is transcription being able to comprehend and transcribe those terms appropriately.
- dgoodgolfCopper ContributorIs there a preferred \ best practice to enable M365 Copilot to access data that resides on Windows file servers and Azure Files? Users setting up their own through Copilot Studio or custom developing a connector?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey Dave, I think that depends on the volatility of the data. Both are valid options. A connector could bring the data into the Microsoft Graph and enable native querying, while a plugin would call for the latest whenever asked to. If the data is constantly changing, perhaps a plugin would better serve you.
- billshipmanCopper ContributorThere's a Copilot app in the app store, but it doesn't let me log in with my business account, so it can't access my business docs like it can on my PC. What's the plan?
- Yana Terukhova
Microsoft
yes, it is in the store, but you need to purchase a license to use it, Did you do that and I still does not work?- billshipmanCopper Contributorcorrect. i know i have a copilot license issued to me. it wont let me log in.

Name confusion and inconsistencies - Bing Enterprise Chat vs. Copilot
Where is Microsoft going with this? Both names show up in different places. This is causing internal communication challenges.
When can we expect that Bing Enterprise Chat terminology to go away?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeAppreciate the feedback! We're working on it!
- Chris_SpiveyCopper ContributorThanks! Any help with landing on a consistent and explainable branding approach will be a big help with user education. It is tough with Bing Enterprise Chat, Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Sales Copilot, Security Copilot and GitHub Copilot, not to mention non-Microsoft company's use of copilot in a more general sense. I find myself having to explain a lot even before I get to talking about the use cases and potential benefits of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Chuck-NYBrass ContributorFor Intelligent Recap in Teams meetings to work, is Copilot mandatory? Can you have Teams meeting intelligent recap without copilot?
- Hughes818Iron Contributor
My understanding is that there are basically 3 versions of recap
- Meeting Recap - included with Teams Standard License
- Intelligent Recap - included with Teams Premium License
- Copilot w/Intelligent Recap (so you can use prompts to ask questions about the meeting) - requires both Teams Premium and Copilot License
- Chuck-NYBrass ContributorWe are on GCC and don't have copilot. We do have "recap" in Team (which is a straight transcription), but not "intelligent recap" (the automated summarization). TY!
- ScottSchnollFormer EmployeePlease see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/modern-work-app-consult-blog/how-copilot-and-intelligent-recap-are-aggregating-value-for/ba-p/3897594, which describes them both and how they relate to one another.
- Chuck-NYBrass Contributor
We are on GCC premium Teams and don't have copilot. We do have "recap" in Teams (which is a straight transcription), but not "intelligent recap" (the automated summarization). We have been led to believe that copilot is a requirement (even if we don't use it) to have "intelligent recap" function. Basically, we believe that intelligent recap is not available to us yet, because we are on GCC w/ Teams premium and GCC w/ Teams premium does not have copilot. When copilot gets turned on for GCC we will have intelligent recap since we have Teams premium (GCC). We are just trying to figure out if we should expect to see Intelligent Recap now with our Teams Premium license (for GCC) or if we need to wait until copilot is launched for GCC. TY!
- billshipmanCopper ContributorWhen will Copilot in Teams be able to see chat history like it can for web?
- GabeHoFormer EmployeeHey Bill, could you elaborate on which chat history you're referring to? Copilot in individual chats, or Copilot graph-grounded chat (formerly Microsoft 365 Chat) in Teams?
- billshipmanCopper ContributorSure. When I'm in copilot.microsoft.com i'm able to see chat conversations history, including chats from Copilot in teams. But when I'm in copilot in Teams, i don't see any chat history.
- Jean-Pierre BERGEZ-CASALOUCopper ContributorHello. For a EU based tenant where Copilot licenses are deployed, and Bing search allowed, how can we ensure compliance with EU data Boundaries ?
- Yana Terukhova
