Table of contents bug - num list headings are on multiple lines in the TOC

It will be a little easier to see what is happening if you take a screen shot with nonprinting marks displayed.
However, my guess is that you need to set tab stops for the TOC entries, so that Word moves the numbers and text to the correct positions in the table of contents. Each level in the TOC is formatted by a unique style: TOC 1 for level 1, TOC 2 for level 2, etc. Since the TOC styles update by default, in many cases just adding or moving tab stops on the ruler will update the corresponding styles.
