O365 Word is so slow
I am using Microsoft® Word für Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2505 Build 16.0.18827.20102) 64 Bit with a document of 620 Pages. It is stored on my local disk to be sure not to have nework problems. My Notebook 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1360P 2.20 GHz with 16 GB Memory and installed OS Windows 11 Enterprise.
The document size is about 20 Mbyte.
To open the document and be ready to edit, takes about 4 minutes.
Searching the document takes Minutes and it is very slow.
If the document is oben for another 5 Minutes it will be a bit faster.
The memory usage of word is about 700 MB.
To be able to work with the document I need to save it as a PDF. With PDF Reader it is comfortable to work with.
Is it possible to increase the performance of MS-Word?
Thx Bernhard

Three methods:
Method 1. Disable hardware acceleration: File → Options → Advanced → Display → Disable hardware graphics acceleration.Method 2. Reduce add-ons: File → Options → Add-ons → Manage COM Add-ins → Disable unnecessary items.
Method 3. Clean up temporary files: Run %temp% and delete the contents.

Dear LuxeurTravel
Thanks a lot for your Input!Method 1. Disable hardware acceleration:
It was not possible, this option is not existing.Method 2. Reduce add-ons:
I deleted the OnNote integration but the result was the same.Method 3. Clean up temporary files:
I deletet all temporary files and I also emptied the trash.
It makes it a bit better, but not as fast as in PDF.
The time comes down from 4 minutes to about 2 minutes.
It is still too slow.BR.
