Formatting text in Controls filled by PowerAutomate
Hi.
I've got a Word document template filled with SharePoint Lists data after running a PowerAutomate flow. There is some content that I need to be presented in the document as a numbered list, which I already know doesn't happen in the flow (unfortunately), so I've been trying this directly in Word, without success.
I've tried two things:
1) Leaving the number placed in the template, hoping that it could follow on after a line break (what didn't happen).
Before:
After:
2) Removing the numbering and setting it's paragraph settings to the ruler and then inserting the numbering on the List.
Before:
After:
And what i need is:
2. ANÁLISE
2.1. Identificou-se que (…)
2.2. Etcetcetct (…)
Does anybody know how I can achieve that? I thought about posting it on the PowerAutomate forums, but since the flow itself works as it should, I concluded that I should try asking here first.
Thank you in advance!

You need to be using Define New MultiLevel List, not Apply Numbering. This is not done through paragraph formatting or paragraph style formatting. This is not intuitive nor straightforward. See Automatic Numbering in Word - my 5-page pdf

Hi Charles!
I couldn't apply your solution; the text behaved the same way as before. As far as I can understand, the numbering should be "inside" the text box, but even following your instructions it kept being inserted outside resulting on what I explained in the post.
Besides, I was just told about the need of including images in the documents, what is so complicated through a single SharePoint List that I just changed methods: a trigger list to create a partially populated document in a SharePoint library that can be edited directly.
Thank you very much for your attention and for your help!
How about this:
- Open your Word document: Start by opening the document where you want to create the numbered list.
- Select the text: Highlight the text that you want to format as a numbered list.
- Apply numbering: Go to the "Home" tab, click on the "Numbering" button in the "Paragraph" group, and select the numbering style you want to use.
- Create a multilevel list: If you need a multilevel list (e.g., 2.1, 2.2), click on the "Multilevel List" button next to the "Numbering" button and choose the desired list style.
- Adjust the levels: To adjust the levels of your list items, place your cursor at the beginning of the line you want to change, and press "Tab" to increase the level or "Shift+Tab" to decrease the level.
Apply the multilevel numbering:

Hi, thank you for your response!
Open your Word document: Start by opening the document where you want to create the numbered list.
I sincerely wasn't sure if you meant the template or the resulting document generated from the SharePoint List entry, so I applied it to the template because it made more sense to me. After that, I generated the file using the automation.
Select the text: Highlight the text that you want to format as a numbered list.
Apply numbering: Go to the "Home" tab, click on the "Numbering" button in the "Paragraph" group, and select the numbering style you want to use.
Create a multilevel list: If you need a multilevel list (e.g., 2.1, 2.2), click on the "Multilevel List" button next to the "Numbering" button and choose the desired list style.
Done. Here's the result:
The numbering and spacing were applied in the first paragraph, but not in the second. Can it be some kind of limitation to the control?
