Fix Find-Replace is showing the bottom of the selection
When find-replacing multiple lines, MS Word scrolls up so high that it only shows the last line. For example:
How do I fix that? I can't see anything.

Try this:
- Switch to Draft View
Sometimes Word’s Print Layout view tries too hard to preserve formatting, which messes with scrolling:
- Go to the View tab.
- Select Draft.
- Try your Find and Replace again—this view is less strict about layout and may show the full selection.
- Disable “Keep with Next” and “Keep Lines Together”
These paragraph settings can cause Word to jump around oddly:
- Select the affected paragraphs.
- Right-click and choose Paragraph.
- Uncheck Keep with next and Keep lines together under the “Line and Page Breaks” tab.
- Zoom Out Temporarily
Zooming out can give you a broader view of the selection:
- Use Ctrl + Mouse Wheel Down or go to the View tab and adjust the Zoom level.
4. Update or Repair Office
If this is a new issue, it could be a bug introduced in a recent update:
- Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
- Or run a Quick Repair via Control Panel > Programs > Microsoft Office > Change.
