Wireless Gaming Headset Sounds Bad
I have a Razer Blackshark V2 BT headset, and it comes with 2 operating modes. In Razer's Hyperspeed wireless, with included USB dongle, everything works fine. It sounds good and I am able to use the microphone. However, when I use bluetooth mode, Windows recognizes my device as a "headset" instead of "headphones," causing the sound to change and become much worse. I know about disabling "handsfree telephony" in device manager to disable the microphone, which reverts the sound, but I need to use the mic. How do I fool Windows into giving me the proper "headphones" sound without disabling the microphone? I have already disabled sound enhancements, reconnected the device, updated drivers, and restarted my computer.

Unfortunately, you can't. This is a core Bluetooth limitation:
Headset Mode (HFP): Allows mic + audio, but quality is terrible (for calls).
Headphone Mode (A2DP): Provides high-quality audio but blocks the mic.
Your only real solutions are:
Use the USB Dongle: This is the intended way to get high-quality audio and mic simultaneously. Bluetooth mode on these headsets is primarily for mobile devices.
Buy a Bluetooth Transmitter: A special transmitter (like the Creative BT-W5) that supports newer codecs like LE Audio or aptX Adaptive with microphone passthrough can sometimes overcome this, but it's a paid hardware fix. Standard Windows Bluetooth lacks the necessary support.

I realize this is over a year later but I just went through the same issue with my Blackshark V3. I worked it out connecting the headset through bluetooth so it could find and recognize the microphone as an input. Then switched off the bluetooth setting on the headset. It toggled from bluetooth to hyperspeed wireless by pushing the power button once instead of holding it down. Hope this helps.
