Windows 11 system 24H2 virtual memory usage is too high
The system has always enabled automatic virtual memory management, but suddenly found that the virtual memory file occupied more than 10GB of space. After manually deleting it and re-enabling automatic management, it still could not restore normal usage, resulting in insufficient space on the C drive.

Adjust the paging file size in Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings > Performance > Advanced > Virtual memory (recommended setting is 1.5 times the physical memory), or move it to another drive.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Click on the "Memory" column header to sort processes by memory usage.
Identify any application using an unusually large amount of memory. Is it a program you recognize? A web browser with dozens of tabs? A game? Closing that specific application can provide immediate relief.
