Windows 11 resizing windows on screen wake, after 24h2 install
This has been going on after the 24H2 update.
This comment sums up exactly what i've been experiencing:
"Yeah, plus when my screen turns off after ten minutes (because I set it like that), and when I move the mouse, my Chrome or Firefox windows would be small and resized, but my monitor resolution would still be the correct one, strange. And the little IDM window from the bottom right corner moves to the specific middle left side, always the same one, also strange, which never happened prior to updating to 24H2, it always remembered the position, and browser windows would never be resized after I move the mouse when the screen was off."
I've tried various fixes, mainly deleting reg entries that i've found on https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/1arx6b8/fix_windows_moved_and_resized_every_time_monitor/and https://www.elevenforum.com/t/windows-11-suddenly-started-to-resize-and-move-my-open-windows-position.29337/, but none of these fixes seem to do much. I don't have multiple monitors, it's the legion slim 5 laptop default monitor.
If anyone has any solid working suggestions i'd appreciate them.

I suggest right click on the desktop and select display settings and make sure the resizing is off as Windows defaults to 150% or more even on 1920x1080 panels on laptops. Its worse on higher resolution panels.

Visit Lenovo's support site for the Legion Slim 5 or the GPU manufacturer (Intel, AMD, NVIDIA) directly. Use the latest stable driver versions, as outdated or faulty drivers are often the cause of display-related quirks.
