Windows 11 Pro Version discrepancy

I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 11 Pro [X64] It shows up as being activated on my system Yet, when I’m on a website that wants to “Detect my version of Windows” it comes up as Windows 10 [X64]. Does anyone know what’s going on here?

    Hey Melanie,

Depending on where you've bought the device from, you may be able to ask the vendor to provide more information regarding this.

I wouldn't trust a third party website though, as you cannot know which method they're using to validate your OS. It's also worth reaching out to the third party website you're trying to use and ask them about this, they may have a better answer for you.

Best way to check what Windows version you're running is by following the procedure here:

I think all you have to do is download the updates from the Microsoft Store, and do a Windows update and restart your computer, and you'll be fine 🙂
