Windows 11 Pro OEM product keys not activating
Hello,
I recently started having problems with activating new Windows 11 Pro OEM sticker product keys on new equipment. The issues started from yesterday afternoon, a few hours before that another product key (from the batch of keys i have) on another pc worked on Windows 11 Pro. The errors i receive are various from activation servers are not available to 0xC004E028, 0x8004FE94, etc. This is why i think that there are some problems with the Microsoft activation servers.
I chatted with a Microsoft agent who checked the three product keys that currently do not activate, he said that the keys are valid but are for Windows 10 Pro, although the sticker with the product key has Windows 11 Pro OEM software written on it. He suggested to activate the licenses on Windows 10 Pro.
I tried to activate the product keys on windows 10 Pro on the same equipment but i received the same errors. The Microsoft product activation portal that replaced the phone activation said that the installation ID is invalid.
The Microsoft agent i spoke to redirected me here. Can somebody help me? or give some info about the activation servers?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

The Microsoft agent confirmed that your keys are valid but for Windows 10 Pro, not Windows 11 Pro. OEM keys are often version-specific, and using a Windows 10 OEM key on Windows 11 might cause activation issues.

OEM keys are tied to specific hardware and are generally intended for pre-installed systems. If the key is for Windows 10 Pro, it may not activate Windows 11 Pro directly unless it is a digital license upgrade.

It sounds like you're experiencing activation issues with your Windows 11 Pro OEM product keys, especially since the problems started suddenly and some keys that previously worked are now failing with errors like 0xC004E028 and 0x8004FE94. Your suspicion about potential problems with the Microsoft activation servers is plausible, especially if multiple devices are affected around the same time.
