Windows 11 Microsoft no longer forces a Microsoft account
I reinstalled Windows 11 Home and was able to create a local account directly without a Microsoft account. Is this change official and available to all stable channel users?
Yes, in the 2025 update, Microsoft has allowed Home Edition users to create a local account during initial setup, without requiring them to sign in with a Microsoft account.
