Win11 Wireless display connection drops after several minutes
Your Miracast session establishes normally, then freezes and disconnects after five to ten minutes on systems using either Intel or AMD wireless adapters. That makes compatibility less likely than a driver, receiver-firmware, or interference problem. Update Windows, the PC’s Wi-Fi and graphics drivers, and the wireless display or adapter firmware. Restart both. In Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, remove the entry under Wireless displays & docks, then reconnect with Windows+K. Test at close range with Wi-Fi enabled, disconnect other docks, VPN software, and unnecessary wireless peripherals, and repeat the same video for at least fifteen minutes. Also test the receiving display with a second Windows 11 PC. If only one PC drops, collect its adapter models and driver versions; if every PC drops at the same interval, focus on the receiver or its firmware. Windows does not expose a setting that guarantees a Miracast session will remain connected.
