Win11 Pinch-to-zoom in certain apps does not work after the system has been idle for several hours

The gesture works after restart and fails after the device enters a low-power state, while other touch input remains responsive. That pattern points to the input-device driver or resume path, not to pinch-to-zoom being globally disabled. First determine whether the failing gesture is on a precision touchpad or touchscreen, then test it in two applications. Install Windows updates, including offered driver updates. In Device Manager, identify the precision touchpad or HID-compliant touch screen and record its provider and version before changing it. If the problem began after a driver update, use Roll Back Driver; otherwise uninstall only the affected device and restart so Windows reinstalls it.
