What is the best windows 11 upgrade assistant from windows 10?
Hi, thanks for sharing the details. Microsoft does not provide a separate Windows 11 Upgrade Assistant like it did for Windows 10. The upgrade is handled through Windows Update or by using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, which you can download directly from Microsoft’s website. Your current PC hardware matters here. Windows 11 has strict requirements including Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and a supported processor. The Intel i7-4790 is not on the supported CPU list, so the upgrade will not be offered automatically through Windows Update or the Installation Assistant. You still have a few options. One is to continue using Windows 10, which will receive security updates until October 14, 2025. Another is to upgrade to newer hardware that fully supports Windows 11. There are also unofficial methods to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, but those are not recommended because you may miss updates or face stability problems. The safest path is to stay on Windows 10 with updates for now and plan for a hardware upgrade if you want full, supported access to Windows 11.
