"This publisher has been blocked from running software on your pc"
I have scoured the internet on this one, so hopefully someone here can help me. My company has been running Exact Software, Macola Progression for literally decades, and it works on every compute...
- Jul 26, 2023Right now, i am working with the idea that this is related to IPV6
my network only runs IPV4, and normally, we turn off the IPV6 functionality to prevent issues. usually the problem we see with IPV6 is no connection to the network. in this case, the computer does see i am on the Domain, but somehow lists the EXE as out of network. i checked other computer settings, and the network is listed as Domain which is correct, but my thinking here is, since IPV6 isnt configured for this network, the requests for the EXE are using the wrong IP protocol, and not going anywhere/misrouted. I have already disabled IPV6 on the network card, then logged out and back in on my computer, and so far it is working. but the reinstall worked for the first day, so i will report back in 24 hours.
i know this doesnt seem likely given the symptoms, but, given this keeps happening after everything else. its the only thing i havent tried yet.

Jul 20, 2023start by uninstalling KB - check when the problem is and this way you will find out which update caused the problem.
Of course, if that doesn't work, reinstalling the program usually helps.

Deleted re-installing usually requires uninstalling. this app was not designed to be uninstalled.
i was able to run the installer again and basically install the app on top of what was there before, and that worked for a couple of days. This morning i was able to open the main program, but as soon as i tried to run a sub program with in the main one, i got the same error again. i think this is tied to a KB, and i am working backwards to see if i can figure out which one.
