Security update 5124008 disabled my sound card.
The KB5124008 update has disabled my external Lexicon Alpha Studio audio interface.
There are numerous reports on forums indicating that this issue is affecting many users. I am receiving Error Code 10: the device is detected and appears in the system, but Windows is unable to start it.
Unfortunately, I reinstalled my system because I initially thought I had a virus, and now I cannot even uninstall this update because it is integrated into the Windows installation media.
I am 100% certain that the update is causing the problem. I tested the device on another computer, where it works perfectly, and the USB port itself is also functioning correctly. I also installed an older version of Windows that does not include this update, and the Lexicon Alpha works normally there as well.
This clearly indicates that KB5124008 is causing the incompatibility.
We kindly ask Microsoft to investigate this issue and release a fix as soon as possible. This update has rendered a perfectly functional audio interface unusable for many users.

Gemini took me out of there for few prompts. But now my OS allow test certificates with reminder of that over desktop in left bottom corner, but sound card work fine, i did not test ASIO for now to be honest. In few words i took USBAUDIO.sys from OS before update, rename it and wrap by modified LexiUsb2.inf from AlphaDriverInstaller.exe from official site as power user driver. Then sign it with fresh test certificate and enable test certificates in OS and add group policy to cook new driver from updates.

Microsoft has confirmed the issue and released a preliminary patch (KB5129195). However, that fix only addresses multi-channel audio problems. The core issue of the device failing to start or output sound remains unresolved as of the latest reports.
The affected Windows versions are Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 (with KB5124008) and 26H1 (with KB5124012). Windows Server editions are not affected.
