Removing Compromised MS Account from W11 User Profile

Hi all, 

I am trying to remove a compromised MS account from a standard user profile in W11 pro and revert it to a local account. 

Background is my son had his account stolen and the alias,  password and security info was changed. His standard user profile in W11 now says "identity verification required" and i do not have an option to convert his user account to a local account under his profile info.

Because the compromised account is the primary attached to his user profile i cannot remove it via the accounts settings tab.

Any assistance with a way to force removal of the ms account from his W11 user profile would be appreciated.
