Problem with Screen Jumping Around in Full Screen Videos

Hey there, just trying to ask around to see if someone knows how to handle this specific issue. When I play videos in Netflix (I realize it's probably better to approach their support staff, which I have done) with the full screen, the player has recently started jumping around (shifts up and down frequently while playing the video). This does not happen on other websites as far as I can tell. I have tested YouTube, Disney+, the Criterion Channel, and the CNN video player. All of them are fine; the issue only seems to happen on Netflix and only then in full screen. I have updated all my drivers, but this did nothing. I have turned off the graphics acceleration in Edge, which fixed the problem but downgraded the visual fidelity of the video from roughly 4k to like 720p.

What else can I try? The most common suggestion I see is to try and fix the connection between the graphics card and the video cable (non-technical term haha), but I don't think that will do anything because the problem is only on one website.

Since the issue only happens in Netflix full-screen, it’s almost certainly a browser video/DRM rendering issue — not your monitor, cable, or GPU.

Here are the quickest fixes to try:

    • Try another browser (Chrome/Firefox/Edge).
If the jumping stops, it confirms a browser-specific rendering bug.
    • Update Widevine DRM
Go to edge://components → update Widevine Content Decryption Module.
    • Check GPU video settings
In AMD Software, turn off video enhancements like Dynamic Contrast, Image Sharpening, or Super Resolution.
    • Adjust Windows Graphics Settings
      Turn VRR on/off
Turn Optimizations for windowed games off
Set your browser to High performance
    • Try the Netflix Windows app
It uses a different video pipeline and often avoids these issues entirely.

Because other sites work fine, the problem isn’t hardware — it’s how Netflix handles DRM + hardware acceleration on your system.

This might sound crazy but I found a solution!   Type in text size in windows search bar and just increase it by 1 or 2% press Apply and boom.  You can watch Netflix app in windows 11 full screen with subtitles and no screen shifting or flickering.  No need to change scaling or any other more complicated processes.  No need to turn HDR off.

TYSM!!! I have tried everything to fix this for months, and it took something so random to do it. You’re the best.

Since the issue occurs in Edge, test playing Netflix in another browser like Chrome or Firefox to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, browser-specific quirks can cause display issues.

  •  Since it only happens on Netflix in full screen, it’s likely a browser-specific issue. You already tried disabling hardware acceleration (smart move), but that hurt video quality. Instead, try switching browsers, like using Chrome or Firefox instead of Edge, and see if Netflix behaves better there. Also, double-check for any browser extensions that might interfere.
