No option to Download and install Windows 11 in Windows Update

I'm still on Windows 10 Home.  Ready to go to Windows 11.

When I run the PC Health Check, it says "This PC meets Windows 11 requirements".

WINDOWS UPDATE in SETTINGS doesn't have the "Upgrade to Windows 11 is ready - and it's free!" download and install screen.

Does that mean anything?  Should I wait for that or just upgrade to Windows 11 from somewhere else?

-    I now have Windows 10 Home version 22H2.  Will the Windows 11 update be Windows 11 Home?

-    Do I really need to use Windows 11 Installation Assistant?

  • Hello DJFlatland,

    Yes,

    Windows 10 Home → Windows 11 Home

    Windows 10 Pro → Windows 11 Pro

2 - Do I really need to use Windows 11 Installation Assistant?

Is recommended to use the "Windows 11 Installation Assistant" PC Health Check tool: https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp

This tool will check the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, such as:
    TPM 2.0
    Secure Boot
    UEFI firmware
Compatible CPU (8th Gen Intel or Ryzen 2000 series and newer)
    4 GB RAM
64 GB Hard Disk or SSD

I'm going to use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant.

      Thanks for everyone's help.
