New computer frequently freezes and blacks out after installing Atlas OS
Win11+Atlas OS new machines frequently experience taskbar freezes and system unresponsiveness with black screens. Is this a system compatibility issue?

Hi,
It sounds like your new machine is experiencing driver or compatibility issues with Atlas OS on Windows 11. Taskbar freezes and black screens often happen when the GPU drivers, system updates, or background processes aren’t fully compatible.
A few things you could try:
Make sure all Windows updates and GPU drivers are fully installed.
Check if Atlas OS has known compatibility issues with your hardware model.
Boot in safe mode to see if the issue persists—this can help isolate driver conflicts.
If possible, test with a clean Windows 11 installation to see if the problem is specifically with Atlas OS tweaks.
Sometimes these lightweight or customized OS builds can be unstable on certain hardware, so monitoring for updates from the Atlas OS community might help.

Hi EmmettBrooks,
It sounds like your new machine might be running into compatibility issues between Windows 11 and Atlas OS. I’d suggest checking for the latest drivers and updates, especially graphics and chipset drivers. Also, try booting in safe mode to see if the freezes still happen—it can help isolate whether it’s a software or hardware problem.
