New computer and old Windows license

If I have a computer with Windows 10 installed, can I transfer it to a new computer by installing a clean Windows 11 system? Will the license be automatically assigned to the new computer when I log into my account?
Windows was purchased in a 'boxed' version initially as Windows XP Pro. Each time there was a possibility to update to a newer version, such a change was made.

Unfortunately, if you change the motherboard and processor, it could be seen as a major hardware change, which might cause Windows to no longer be activated on the old device. However, if your license is linked to your Microsoft account, you might be able to transfer it to the new device by contacting Microsoft support. They should be able to help you deactivate the old system and assign the license to the new one.

If you're upgrading on the same computer, the license should remain valid and active, as long as it’s properly linked to your Microsoft account. You can install a clean version of Windows 11, and when you log into your account, the license should be automatically applied. Since your original license started with Windows XP and was upgraded over time, it should still be eligible for this process. For more details, you can check Microsoft's official upgrade guide.

    Hope it helps!

What happens if I change the motherboard and processor? Can I withdraw activation on the old device and assign the license to the new one?
