Hi, floppy disks are always going to feel painfully slow on a modern Windows 11 PC. They are old, mechanical, and tiny, and modern antivirus or indexing checks can make access feel even slower. If you need the files, I would copy the disk contents once to a folder or USB drive, then work from that copy instead of using the floppy as active storage.
